With the development of digital imaging and platform technology, the application of drones in new energy design is becoming increasingly widespread.

The current applications of drones in new energy design mainly include:

1. Generate topographic maps through drone aerial photography. Large unmanned aerial vehicle equipment can measure large-scale topographic maps; Small unmanned aerial vehicle equipment can complete topographic maps of small areas.

2. Using drones to assist in outdoor site selection and survey work. But in the future, it can do even better! What else can drones do for design?

Taking wind farms as an example, during the project development phase, only the location of the project area is known. By using drones for patrol flights, more detailed information about the project area can be obtained, thereby reducing some research work.

In the preliminary design phase of the project, accurate model information of the wind farm can be provided through drone measurement technology. This model information can be edited using other design software to install the designed wind turbines, roads, collection lines, and other facilities. Simultaneously applying 3D printing technology to display the model and design ideas in the form of a sand table.

Through this method, it is possible to more accurately calculate the power generation revenue, wake impact, and investment comparison of roads and lines. The location of the booster station can be intuitively pre selected, and the optimal solution can be determined after multiple simulation analyses. In the micro site selection stage, the principle of human-computer interaction can be utilized to reduce the outdoor work of designers.

By designing wind turbine locations, pre selecting booster station locations, road intersections, and sensitive facility locations using drones in the wind farm area, as well as performing roundabout flights and strip-shaped flights along road and route paths, the effect of simulating human eyes can be achieved. This simulation can change perspectives, allowing for both overall and local effects to be seen.

Necessary measurement and marking work can also be completed during drone flight. Through this feedback, designers can have a more comprehensive understanding of the specific situation of the project, thereby determining the optimal locations for wind turbines, lines, roads, and booster stations.

During the construction drawing design phase, unmanned aerial vehicles can be used to complete the model design and output electronic three-dimensional results. Through a shared platform, on-site construction personnel can visually see the design results and interact with designers.

During the completion drawing design phase, the actual completion status of the site can be fed back to the designer based on the drone, and the designer can modify and annotate the completed electronic results, and attach real scene photos for archiving.

Drone equipment can make design simpler, but it cannot replace on-site research work by designers. Only when the designer personally experiences certain key points can the design work be more adapted to the surrounding environment and more humanized.

What are the constraints for drones to meet the above requirements? 1. The ability to fly continuously for a long time. 2. Platform technology combined with design software. 3. Autonomous avoidance technology for autonomous driving.

In addition, the approval system and regulatory standards for drones still need to be improved. I believe that in the near future, unmanned aerial vehicles will become an indispensable tool in the field of new energy design, soaring freely in the blue sky and clear water with the development of new energy technology.
