Smart Warehousing Solutions
A road that no longer exists. A landslide has taken out eight kilometres°REF of mountain road. On the far side, a clinic is short of blood products and a communications site is down because the replacement module weighs 38 kilograms°REF and cannot be carried up on foot. By road, the detour is six hours°REF — if the secondary route holds. A helicopter could do it in twenty minutes, at several thousand per flight hour°REF, if one is available and the weather cooperates. Meanwhile the actual consignment weighs less than a passenger's luggage. That mismatch — a few tens of kilograms moving on infrastructure built for tons — is the defining inefficiency of last-mile logistics in difficult terrain. The Rongyixin transport UAV moves that 38 kg°REF module over the ridge in twenty-five minutes°REF, launched from a clearing the size of a parking space, with one operator°REF and no road.
Why the economics break down on difficult routes.
Infrastructure sets the cost, not distance. In mountains, on islands and across water, the road — or the bridge, or the ferry — determines the schedule. Maintaining it for a handful of daily consignments is impossible to justify.
Helicopters are priced for helicopters. For a 30–80 kg°REF load, rotary-wing cost per tonne-kilometre is an order of magnitude away from what the shipment can bear.
Disasters delete the network. Floods, landslides and earthquakes remove the option entirely, exactly when the cargo is most urgent.
Urgency does not scale with weight. Blood, vaccines, laboratory samples, a failed pump seal — the value of the consignment is in its arrival time, not its mass.
And the route itself is risky. Drivers are exposed to unstable slopes, washouts, ice and insecure terrain to deliver something that weighs less than they do.
What the aircraft does. The Rongyixin transport UAV carries up to 50 kg°REF (with an 80 kg°REF extended configuration) point-to-point, autonomously, over 25–40 kilometres°REF. It takes off and lands vertically in a clearing of roughly 10 m²°REF, follows a pre-planned route with terrain following, and delivers either by landing or by a 20–30 metre°REF winch release where there is nowhere to land. Two crew members move the aircraft, the cargo and the ground station from a single vehicle. There is no runway, no road, and no pilot licence requirement comparable to manned aviation.
Capabilities that matter to a logistics manager.
Lift with margin. 50 kg°REF standard payload in a 200-litre°REF cargo volume; the extended configuration handles bulky-but-light consignments such as insulation, medical crates and empty containers.
Range matched to the real route. 25–40 km°REF at cruise speeds of 60–80 km/h°REF, with endurance of 25–35 minutes°REF under full load — sized for the ridge crossings and island hops that actually dominate these networks.
Redundancy that a cargo mission requires. A multi-rotor configuration tolerant of single-motor failure, dual-battery power, and optional parachute recovery. Cargo missions are flown over people and property; the failure mode matters as much as the performance.
Autonomous, repeatable, logged. Waypoint flight with terrain following, automatic take-off and landing, and precision release within 1–2 metres°REF of the target point. Every flight produces a log and a proof-of-delivery record.
Two delivery modes. Quick-release winch for forest canopy, rooftops and slopes; enclosed cargo box with optional temperature control for pharmaceutical and laboratory consignments.
Built for the weather that closes roads. IP55-class°REF ingress protection, operation in winds up to 12 m/s°REF, and an operating envelope from −20 °C to +50 °C°REF.
Fleet, not just aircraft. Multi-aircraft dispatch, live telemetry, and a dispatch view that shows where every consignment is.
A safety envelope that can be audited. Geofencing, no-fly-zone awareness, and automatic return-to-home on low battery or link loss.
A delivery, end to end.
Consignment planning. Weight, dimensions, route, weather window and drop method are entered; the system confirms payload and range margin before anything leaves the vehicle.
Load and check. The cargo is restrained and weighed, centre of gravity verified, and the aircraft runs a full self-test.
Autonomous flight. The operator monitors telemetry rather than flying; terrain following handles the ridge.
Precision delivery. At the clinic, the aircraft hovers at 25 metres°REF and lowers the container on the winch; a photo and a timestamp confirm release.
Return and record. Automatic return, flight log archived, proof of delivery issued to the consignee.
